Casper Police Ease Alcohol Restrictions, Close Streets
The Casper Police Department has eased restrictions on open containers of alcoholic beverages, according to its Facebook page.
People will be allowed to carry open containers on East Second Street from South Oak Street on the west to South Kimball Street on the east.
They no longer need to stay in previously designated areas.
However, no open containers are allowed outside this area.
The Police Department also just announced that it has closed vehicle traffic from South David and South Ash streets from Midwest Avenue to Industrial Avenue until Tuesday morning.
The department also reminds eclipse visitors and local residents to use the crosswalks at all times.
On Friday, police received reports of a couple of close calls of pedestrians who ran across streets and were almost hit by vehicles.
