Casper Police Arrest Man Who Drove Car Into Pond
A man was arrested by Casper police officers Friday morning after he allegedly drove his car into a pond and police ended up finding marijuana in his residence.
Terex J. Oherra, 39, was booked into jail on a recommended charge of possession of marijuana.
According to a police affidavit, an officer responded to the Lake McKenzie Dog Park shortly after 10 a.m. Friday after someone saw a man drive his car into a pond, then get out and walk away toward Bryan Stock Trail.
The officer arrived and found Oherra headed south on Bryan Stock Trail. Oherra was reportedly very slow to react and had trouble answering questions. Oherra could not remember anything from the beginning of his day.
However, Oherra said he did remember driving the car into the water. He told the officer that he did not believe he deserved the car and he wanted to recycle it.
Oherra's pupils were very small, the officer noted. Oherra agreed to let the officer search his room in the 700 block of St. John.
In Oherra's room, police reportedly found a makeshift pipe which contained burnt marijuana, as well as a snus can with marijuana residue inside. A cigarette box containing a number of pills, which police declined to identify in the affidavit, was found as well.
