Casper Man Accused of Trapping Woman in Her Apartment
A Casper man was arrested Thursday afternoon after he allegedly kicked a woman's door in and held her in her apartment.
Elias Samuel Gurrola, 20, is facing recommended charges of false imprisonment, unlawful entry into an occupied structure and interference with a peace officer.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a woman called police and advised that a man, later identified as Gurrola, kicked in her door and was trying to hurt her. Dispatchers could hear Gurrola yelling in the background.
When a police officer arrived, he told Gurrola to get on the ground but Gurrola refused. The officer had to shove Gurrola to the ground. Gurrola then allegedly fought with the officer before a bystander came in to assist.
Backup officers arrived shortly after and handcuffed Gurrola.
When police spoke to Gurrola, he accused the victim of filming him while he masturbated. Gurrola allegedly told police that the victim would shine a green laser pointer on his genitals as he masturbated.
Gurrola told police that when he confronted the victim with his allegations, she "freaked out" and would not talk to him.
The victim told police that she was in bed watching a movie when she heard someone banging on her door. Before she could get up, Gurrola burst in and accused her of invading her privacy. Gurrola refused to leave the apartment when the victim asked and instead blocked her door, according to charging documents.
Gurrola "continued with his crazy rambling" as the victim asked him to leave. Eventually, the victim was able to lock herself out on her balcony and began yelling for help, according to the affidavit.
A witness told police he heard yelling coming from the victim's apartment. When he went to investigate, Gurrola came out and was rambling nonsensically.
Shortly after, police arrived.
Gurrola allegedly told police he had been drinking prior to the incident. He had a blood alcohol content of .19 percent, according to the affidavit.
