Casper College Women Reach Region IX Final

The Casper College women's basketball team came up with a 74-72 win over Northeastern Colorado to earn a spot in Saturday's championship game in Scottsbluff. Lucie Hoskova was incredible for the Lady T-Birds with 33 points on 13-20 from the field. She also pulled down a dozen rebounds with Nerea Banea contributed 13 and Jaye Johnson had 12. Casper College went 15-18 from the free throw line to improve to 27-6 in game that had 14 lead changes and 8 ties. The Birds will play for the regional championship Saturday night against either Western Nebraska or Eastern Wyoming
