Casper College Sweeps Gillette

The Casper College basketball teams rolled along on Wednesday with wins over Gillette College at the Erickson Gym. The T-bird guys crushed the Pronghorns 102-79 to get to 23-2 on the year with just one loss in Region IX sub region play. Casper is ranked 10th in the country this week and hoisted a whopping 37 3 pointers in the game and made 17. Wil Likayi had 24 points, Isaac Bonton had 18 with Amin Adamu chipping in a dozen. The Birds shot 52% from the field and have shot the ball well all year long.

The Casper College women powered their way to a 70-60 win over Gillette to get to 20-5 overall and an undefeated mark in Region IX sun region play. The T-Birds at one point in the first half led 19-4 and watched the Pronghorns scratch and claw their way back into the game. Lucie Hoskova once again was Casper's leading scorer with 15. Raquel Ferrer Bernad had 14 with Jaye Johnson contributing 10. Both T-Bird teams will host Western Wyoming on Saturday afternoon at the Erickson Gym. The ladies game starts at 2pm and the mens game will begin at 4.
