Casper College has a lock on team roping in the Central Rocky Mountain Region and the coaches' sons are #1. Kellan and Carson Johnson won week four of the fall staged in Lamar, Colorado helping their men's team earn nearly 600 points almost all of them by team ropers. In addition to the Johnsons, there were significant contributions from Bryan Lemmon, Tanner McInerney, and Braden Pirrung. T-Bird head coach Jhett Johnson won a gold buckle as a team roping heeler in 2011. His boys added 165 points apiece to their region-leading total by capping off Lamar's Antelope Stampede with the fastest run of the weekend.
