Casper City Council is scheduled to hear multiple presentations Tuesday night regarding the status of the case against embattled city council member Craig Hedquist.

According to the agenda, city council will hear presentations from an attorney representing Hedquist, and Wes Reeves, one of the attorneys representing the city of Casper in the ongoing case.

The presentations are coming after Sharon Rose, the Cheyenne-based arbiter overseeing the case, recommended last week that the city throw the case against Hedquist out, saying that city council lacked the authority to remove Hedquist from the body in a contested case hearing setting.

City-hired attorneys claim Hedquist, who owns Hedquist Construction, violated conflict of interest laws by using his council position to leverage better deals between his road construction company and the city.

City council will also hear a construction contract status update on Tuesday.

Council is scheduled to meet for its regular session at 6 p.m.
