C.C Women Will Host Region IX Tournament

The Casper College women's basketball team clinched the Region IX North championship on Saturday with a 63-56 win over Northwest of Powell. The Birds who are ranked 15th in the country improved to 12-0 in the Region IX North which means that Casper College will host the Region IX Tournament March 8-10. The T-Birds were led in scoring by Lucy Hoskova with 17 and Natalia Panufnik chipped in 11. Casper is a remarkable 26-2 on the season.

The Casper College men absorbed a 91-85 loss to Northwest of Powell on Saturday to drop them to 19-9 overall and 7-5 in the Region IX North. Wilfried Likayi had 29 for the T-Birds with Nolan Bertain throwing in 28. Both the Casper College men and women will host Sheridan College and Gillette College on Wednesday and Saturday at the Erickson Gym.
