UPDATE, 3 p.m.: Casper police said in a press release that the scene has been cleared. There is no threat to the public.


UPDATE, 1:33 p.m.: The school has been cleared. Students and staff are safe and have reentered the building. Parents are free to come pick up their children, according to the Natrona County School District Facebook page. The school district will release more information as it becomes available. Parents who are not picking up their children from the school are strongly advised to stay off school property. 


Students have been safely evacuated after a bomb threat was made at Dean Morgan Junior High School in Casper Friday.

The Casper Police Department was notified of of the threat Friday afternoon.

A suspect has been taken into custody, Casper Police Dept. Public Information Officer Rebekah Ladd said in an email. The suspect has not been identified at this time.

Casper police and Natrona County School District protocols are being followed.

Tanya Sutherland, NCSD Public Information Officer has notified all parents/guardians.

The public is advised not to attempt to access school grounds for safety reasons.

Police are sweeping the school to ensure it is safe for students.
