Wyoming’s Congressional Delegation Responds to Casper College Attack [PRESS RELEASE]
Washington, D.C. – Wyoming’s congressional delegation issued the following statements today concerning the attack at Casper College.
“Any loss of life is tragic, especially when it hits so close to home for so many of us,” said Senator Mike Enzi. “What took place today is a reminder to always look out for one another in our communities and neighborhoods. Diana and I send our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by today’s events. We appreciate the work of the local law enforcement and school officials who acted quickly to protect students and faculty from further violence.”
“It is hard to describe the shock and the sadness all of us feel about the violent events that occurred earlier today in Casper,” said Senator John Barrasso. “Bobbi and I want to give our very heartfelt sympathies to the families and to the entire Casper College community.”
“It is devastating to hear the news of the horrific events in Casper today,” said Representative Cynthia Lummis. “Tragedies of this magnitude are difficult to grasp, but even more so when it happens in your own backyard. I am heartbroken for family and friends affected by this tragedy. But it’s in these moments of despair that the strength of our communities and neighbors emerge. Those suffering are not alone.”
