Wyoming Republicans Seek to Restore Trump Town Hall Photo
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Republicans in a community in western Wyoming have launched a petition to put President Donald Trump's picture back up at town hall.
Jackson Mayor Pete Muldoon recently removed photos of Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, saying Trump is divisive and many locals dislike him.
Muldoon says the same was true of former President Barack Obama. Muldoon says if Obama were still president, he would make the same decision.
Muldoon is replacing the photos with a government organizational chart.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports the Teton County Republican Party launched a petition Monday calling for presidential portraits to be permanently placed in town and county government buildings. Party chairman Paul Vogelheim says it's a nonpartisan issue.
