UPDATE:

WYDOT reports I-25 between Casper and Buffalo has reopened, though weather conditions continue to have a high impact on travel.

Also, U.S. 20-26 from Casper to Moneta has reopened, but conditions are similarly poor.

===============================================================

Interstate 25 was closed overnight in both directions between Casper and Buffalo due to winter weather.

As of 6:15 a.m. Thursday, WYDOT had not posted an estimated opening time for the highway.

While I-25 was open between Casper and the Colorado border, WYDOT had issued a number of advisories warning of black ice, slick road surface, fog, blowing snow and reduced visibility.

WYDOT had also posted 'no unnecessary travel' advisories in the Chugwater area.

Also closed due to winter weather Thursday morning was U.S. Highway 20-26 between Casper and Moneta. As of 5 a.m., WYDOT estimated the highway would reopen between 10 a.m. and noon Thursday.
