Wesley Marks Charged With Strangulation

One person has been arrested after police say he strangled his ex-girlfriend.

According to Casper police, back on Sunday (October 23rd) Wesley Marks and his ex-girlfriend Essie Mathenia, got into an argument over Marks' Facebook account.

Ms. Mathenia says it was then that marks grabbed her cell phone and broke it, then he grabbed her by the neck, started choking her and put her in a headlock, until she passed out.

When she recovered, she said she was going to a friends house to call the police, but then Marks slapped her across the face with a closed fist.

Officers observed a red area on Mathenia's neck behind her left ear, and light colored bruising on her forehead, and several scratches on her chest.

Mr. Marks was arrested and charged by police with 1 felony count of strangulation of a household member.
