Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis was asked to give the commencement address at a University of Wyoming graduation and, in doing so, she ended up almost getting booed off the stage by those in attendance, due to a comment about the two (or more) sexes.
Senators Cynthia Lummis and John Barrasso have recently lauded the decision by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to withdraw its vaccine mandate, which would affect small businesses across Wyoming.
While I believe the vaccine to be a safe and effective protection against the virus, I'm strongly opposed to a federal vaccine mandate and will continue to fight here in Washington against a top-down approach to the vaccination," Lummis said.
"Independence Day really defines Wyoming," Barrasso said. "People here are independent, resilient, self-reliant. There's no place like this for the 4th of July."
"Our Capitol Police officers put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe," Lummis wrote. "We mourn with the family of the fallen officer today and pray for them."
Lummis argued that the bill was passed “without Republican input” and said that it “contains millions of dollars in spending completely unrelated to COVID-19 relief.”
In a statement made just after her vote, Lummis called the trial an "unconstitutional Distraction that Does Nothing to Help Wyoming Families & Businesses Still Being Impacted by COVID-19.”
