"Chalk" one up for the Casper Police Department, as a piece of chalk led to the capture of a Casper man accused of stealing from the city's Police and Fire Departments.

Twenty-Four year old Skylar Larson, has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of property damage, after he was accused of stealing more than ten-thousand dollars worth of items from the downtown Casper Fire Station and several police cruisers.

On the 10th of February, firefighters reported someone had entered station number one during the overnight hours and stole firefighting equipment and a TV.

A number of Casper Police cars had also been burglarized.

Investigators say a piece of pool cue chalk led them to a nearby bar, where employees named Larson as a suspect.

Police say Larson confessed to the crimes, claiming he had been drinking prior to the burglaries.

He's being held on fifteen-thousand dollars bond, awaiting a preliminary hearing.
