CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming hunters who missed a chance to buy elk, deer and antelope licenses at a leftover license sale last week will get another chance due to a technical problem.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says nearly 700 leftover licenses will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. July 24.

The technical problem happened over about an hour July 10. Hunters purchasing group licenses that day weren't getting electronic confirmation of their purchases.

Game and Fish says the problem caused many applicants to reattempt their group purchases. That in turn decreased the number of licenses available for sale that day.

Game and Fish plans to post online a tentative list of hunting licenses that are still available.
