A sentence has been handed down to a Casper man who was charged in a case regarding several break-ins on Casper Mountain last year.

Investigators with the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office received a number of calls between August and October 2012, regarding break-ins and items missing or damaged at a number of places at Hummingbird Hallow, Crimson Dawn, Circle Drive and KTWO Road.

21-year-old Richard Fielder was charged, in the case, with five felony counts and five misdemeanor counts of burglary and property destruction. Judge Catherine Wilking ruled that Fielder be sentenced to five-to-seven years in prison on each felony charge, as well as 6 months on each misdemeanor charge, all of which will run concurrent with each other. Also fines and restitution in excess of $30,000 was ordered.

The sentence comes, also, with a boot-camp recommendation, which, if accepted into the program and successfully completed, Fielder would be able to return to court to request a lighter sentence.
