A Manderson resident died in a single-vehicle rollover crash south of Basin on Thursday night, according to a news release from Sgt. David Wagener of the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Ricardo Deniz Vazquez, 21 was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt south on U.S. Highway 20 when at 10:35 p.m. the car left the road at mile post 20, went down a steep embankment, tripped and rolled.

Vazquez was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

He was taken by ground ambulance to the South Big Horn County Hospital in Basin where he was pronounced dead.

Alcohol and speed are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash.
