A Casper man is arrested for multiple charges including aggravated assault on a pregnant woman.

Shortly after eight p.m. on Tuesday, Casper police responded to a report of a family fight.

Forty-year-old Darco Miller is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend while holding her against her will for over twenty-four hours.

According to affidavit, when police made contact with Miller, they believed that he was under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine. Officers advised Miller that he was going to be placed under arrest for false imprisonment and assault and battery.

Miller allegedly became combative, resisting arrest and incidentally hit one of the officers in the mouth. After the brief struggle and the use of a taser gun, Miller was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Wyoming Medical center to be treated for a couple of lacerations that he received during the scuffle.

Charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault on a pregnant woman, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance, Miller was then taken to the Natrona County Detention Center without further incident.
