"It appears that the remains had been there for a substantial amount of time," Chief Deputy Veldheer in a news release sent out Tuesday morning said.
"The recovery is a lengthy process, due to weather or wildlife scattering potions of the body," he added.
Construction Crew Finds Human Remains
The Sheriff's Office says a construction crew found the human remains on private property in the area of Terry Ranch Road and Parsley Boulevard, and deputies were called to the scene at 9:38 a.m.
"This is not a historic or archeological find," said Veldheer, meaning that it's not an old burial site.
The Sheriff’s Office says it's working with the County Coroner’s Office and the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation to identify the person to help get closure for their family.
