Investigation Underway After Body Found South of Cheyenne

An investigation is underway after a body was found south of Cheyenne, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office says.

According to a department Facebook post, deputies were called to the scene north of Terry Ranch Road at 9:38 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14.

"At this time, there is no threat to public safety," the post reads.

"We don't have a lot of information at this time," Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Warner told KGAB Radio.

"The Laramie County Sheriff's Office and the Laramie County Coroner's Office are working to determine the cause of death and to identify the deceased individual," he added.
