You might have heard by now that a big chill is coming our way this weekend.

If you've lived in this part of the country long enough, you knew to expect it.

This won't be the first artist freeze we get this winter.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE FORECAST.

Expect temperatures to drop Friday with some late day and overnight snow in the forecast.

Single digit and even some negative temperatures will dominate the weekend and it will be a while before we warm back up.

Despite the cold - MANY WILL STILL BE WORKING OUTSIDE THIS WEEKEND.

Most of us will prepare in advance and we will not go outside unless we have to.

For others that cold snap is what is forcing them outside.

Ranchers are the first that comes to mind. They are already preparing. There are animals to take care of as well as water supplies and machines that might freeze over.'

Those who work in the coal, oil, and gas industries don't get a break during times like these. They will do what they can to prepare but some of that work is still outside and there is no getting around it.

Emergency responders will be outside taking care of anyone who needs them no matter how cold it gets.

WYDOT, working to keep those roads open in all weather.

If you should be out and about this weekend have a look at anyone who is still working outside and thank your lucky stars that we have them.

These are the people who keep every convenience and necessity running, no matter what the weather is.

Think of them while you're at home, watching TV in your warm home.
