
Join The Team Caring For Dogs In Evansville, Wyoming
If you love animals and are looking for an opportunity to volunteer or a part-time paid-as-needed job, Evansville, WY has a great option available.
The long-awaited animal holding facility is now open, and the Evansville PD is looking for volunteers and part-time as-needed workers to help keep the dogs safe, happy, and entertained.
Your duties will be exactly what you'd think they would be.
- Feeding and watering
- Walking and socializing the dogs
- Cleaning and maintaining a sanitary environment
- Monitoring the behavior of the animals and reporting anything weird to the staff
- Grooming
- Giving medications
- Learning proper techniques for handling and controlling animals
- Donation sorting
- Maintenance of the facilities
To be considered, you'll need to check off the following:
- Must love animals
- You must be in good health and not allergic to animals, chemicals, or any other allergens you may encounter.
- Be willing and able to perform all duties and tasks listed above.
- Have a strong stomach.
- Have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- 18+ years old
- Pass a background check
- Have closed-toed shoes with a back on them (no flip-flops)
- Avoid loose, uncomfortable clothing and tie long hair back.
- Attend a 1-hour training with the Casper Humane Society
- Attend facility training with the Evansville staff.
