Citiwerks Sunday Soiree Gives Casper Musicians A Stage Every Month
I've had the chance to hang out with musicians quite often, and one thing I know is that they will play wherever and whenever they have an opportunity. I'm sure you've seen a musician set up on a street corner, playing the background music at your favorite bar, or on the big stages around town. I'm telling ya, the love of the music is what keeps them going.
Really, they are a different breed. They're passionate about sharing their sound with others. It's weird if you think about it like that, but that's really what it's all about for them. Sharing the music.
If you're a singer, songwriter, or musician, and want to let your voice (or guitar) be heard, Casper has a great music scene. There's live music playing all over town, all the time.
One cool option is that Citiwerks of Casper offers The Sunday Soiree on the second Sunday of the month, and it just so happens to be coming up this weekend.
From 3-5, the mic is open. You can show up with your guitar, accordion, keyboard, or just your voice, and hop on stage and share your passion with others.
The best part about the "open mic" type of events is that no matter your skill level, you can hop on stage. If it's your first time, or you are a seasoned pro, it's meant to shine the spotlight on you and give you a place to practice or polish your set. It's also a great way to see up-and-coming talent.
