Residents of Casper and Natrona County are experiencing another day of heavy smoke in the region. Until a cold front moves through on Wednesday, expect hazy skies and heavy smoke to obscure your view. According to the National Weather Service, atmospheric conditions are bringing in heavy smoke from fires in Idaho and Montana. There are currently no fires in Natrona County, and the Little Boxelder fire near Glenrock is more than 80 percent contained.

Day Weather meteorologist Don Day tells K2 Radio that an Alberta Clipper is bringing in cooler temperatures, strong winds and possibly rain. That system, which should reach Casper around noon Wednesday, is also altering the upper-level winds, and should clear the smoke from the area for awhile.
