Idaho Man Killed in Rollover Crash in Western Wyoming
A 61-year-old Idaho man died last week after his vehicle slid off an icy road and rolled near Afton.
Kirk Bailey was fatally injured in the Nov. 7 crash, according to a crash report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
That report says Bailey was southbound on Highway 89 at 12:40 p.m. and, as Bailey attempted to negotiate an icy curve near milepost 56, he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle started to fish-tail and entered a counter-clockwise yaw, sliding across the northbound lane. The vehicle kept sliding off the northbound shoulder, dropped down an embankment and rolled one and a half times, coming to rest on its roof.
Bailey was partially ejected from the vehicle as it rolled. He was not wearing his seat belt.
