CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Investigators have determined that a fire burning in Guernsey State Park is human caused.

State Forester Bill Crapser says the fire started in a grassy and brushy area along the lake.

While the land there is owned by the state Military Department, Crapser says no military personnel or actions were involved in starting the fire.

Crapser says his office is sending a report on its investigation to the local prosecutor.

The fire began Saturday and forced hundreds of campers and others to be evacuated from the park. It destroyed one private cabin.

The fire has burned about 2,800 acres and is 95 percent contained. Firefighters are now mopping up hot spots.

Elsewhere in Wyoming, an 8,500-acre fire in northeast Albany County is now 100 percent contained.
