Some very funny moments Saturday night as friends and colleagues of Wyoming's former Governor gathered to take a turn of the spit during a roast of Dave Freudenthal.

Listen Here:

Dave Freudenthal's new boss University of Wyoming President Tom Buchanan was one of the illustrious roasters Saturday night.

"How can I describe Freudenthal's inner being? He describes himself as an un-made bed. For years now we've all nodded politely and had no clue what the hell he was talking about. I think he might ,more appropriately,  have called himself a barbed wire fence; utilitarian in design, nasty when tangled with, and relatively cheap."

Casper native, NBC correspondent, and friend, Pete Williams played roast master to the former governors Energy Advisor, Rob Hurliss, Director of Game and Fish, Terry Cleveland, the Honorable Alan K. Simpson and another former governor, Mike Sullivan.

"It's wonderful to come together to raise funds for a worthy cause and make everybody feel better by insulting the insultable. Is this a great world or what? Is this a great state or what?"

Next Sunday on Report to Wyoming we'll have extended excerpts from the event that doubled as a fund raiser for the 307 Dance Academy scholarship fund.  Report to Wyoming runs at 7a.m Sunday mornings on all Townsquare Media stations and again at 9 p.m. on K2 Radio AM 1030.
