Forest Service Waives Fees For Veterans Day

This coming weekend is the Veterans Day holiday weekend and in honor of military service personnel who put their lives on the line, the U.S. Forest Service is waiving fees at most of its day use recreation sites.

Larry Sandoval is spokesman for the Medicine Bow National Forest offices. "Those fees usually are a five dollar day use fee. So, that five dollar fee will be waived this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday on all of our standard amenity day use sites."

Sandoval suggests contacting the U.S. Forest Service office nearest you regarding specific recreation sites in your area.
