UPDATE (8:23 a.m. Tuesday)

I-25 between Casper and Buffalo has reopened, according to WYDOT. However, the road surface remains slick with drifted snow, snowfall and blowing snow in many areas. 

Additionally, WY 487 between WY 220 and Medicine Bow reopened this morning. However, WY 220 remains closed all the way from Casper to Muddy Gap, and U.S. 30 remains closed from I-80 to WY 34 due to a request from local authorities. 

As of 8:10 a.m., U.S. 30 was expected to reopen in five to seven hours. 

UPDATE (7:33 p.m. Monday)

WY 487 is now closed all the way from Medicine Bow to WY 220 due to winter conditions with no known estimated opening time.

UPDATE (7:18 p.m. Monday)

Wyoming Highway 220 is now closed between Casper and Muddy Gap due to winter conditions. WYDOT says the estimated reopening time is unknown. 

South of Casper, Wyoming Highway 487 is closed from Medicine Bow to the northern junction with WY 77 due to winter conditions. 

South of Riverton, WY 135 is closed from the Sweetwater Station Junction to WY 789 due to winter conditions, with no estimated reopening time. 

UPDATE (7:01 p.m. Monday)

U.S. 287/WY 789 is now closed between Muddy Gap and the WY 28 junction south of Lander. According to WYDOT, the estimated opening time is unknown. 

UPDATE (6:26 p.m. Monday)

Interstate 25 is now closed in both directions between Casper and Buffalo due to winter conditions and a crash on the stretch between Exit 210 and Exit 227. As of 6:19 p.m. WYDOT had no estimated reopening time. 

UPDATE (6:08 p.m. Monday)

WYDOT again closed WY 59 between the Campbell/Converse County line and Douglas due to winter conditions. As of 6 p.m., there was no estimated reopening time. 

UPDATE (5:56 p.m. Monday)

I-25 between Wyoming Highway 387 and Exit 210 is now closed in both directions due to winter conditions and a crash. As of 5:52 p.m., WYDOT reported that the opening time is unknown.  

I-25 remains closed to light, high-profile vehicles in both directions between Casper and Buffalo, with WYDOT warning of an extreme blow over risk for that stretch of highway. A 'no unnecessary travel' advisory was issued for the segment of I-25 between WY 387 and Tisdale Mountain Road. 

UPDATE (5:44 p.m. Monday)

Wyoming Highway 59 between Wright and Gillette has reopened. However, travel impact continues to be high -- the highway is sligh with snowfall, strong winds and reduced visibility according to WYDOT as of 5:41 p.m.

Original Story:

Winter conditions and a crash resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes of I-25 between Casper and Midwest on Monday.

In addition, I-25 was closed in both directions to light and high-profile vehicles due to gusting winds between Casper and Exit 265. WYDOT did not mention an anticipated time for the road to reopen to light, high-profile vehicles.

The closure is in effect for the northbound lanes between Exit 210 and Exit 227. The southbound lanes remain open, but WYDOT posted a 'no unnecessary travel' advisory for the span between Exit 210 and Exit 235.

A 'no unnecessary travel' advisory was also issued for all lanes of I-25 between Douglas and Glenrock.

Casper Mountain Road, also known as Highway 251, was closed as of 4:50 p.m. Monday due to winter conditions. According to WYDOT, the estimated opening time is in 24 hours.

Interstate 80 in southern Wyoming was closed in both directions between Exit 111 east of Rock Springs and Rawlins due to winter conditions. No estimated opening time was provided by WYDOT.

U.S. 20/WY 789 was closed as of 2:12 p.m. between Shoshoni and Thermopolis due to winter conditions. WYDOT did not provide an estimated opening time.

U.S. 287/WY 789 was closed between Rawlins and Muddy Gap due to winter conditions. WYDOT did not immediately provide an estimated time for that stretch of highway to reopen.

In northeastern Wyoming, Highway 59 was closed from Wright to Haight Road. As of 4:51 p.m., the estimated opening time was within two hours.

Wyoming Highway 28 was also closed between Farson and U.S. 287/WY 789 due to winter conditions. As of 2:38 p.m., WYDOT did not have an estimated opening time.

U.S. 191 from the Utah State Line to Rock Springs was also closed due to winter conditions with an unknown opening time as of 6 a.m. Monday.
