Convicted Sex Offender Denies Sexual Abuse of Natrona County Girl
A man accused of sexually abusing a girl when she was as young as four years old entered not guilty pleas to two felony charges Friday morning in Natrona County District Court.
Forrest Eugein Freeman, 44, is charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and one count of third-degree sexual abuse of a minor. He could face 25-65 years in prison if convicted on both counts.
Court documents say the alleged victim's parents contacted the Natrona County Sheriff's Office in early May to report the abuse. A short time after the case began, an investigator found that Freeman had previously been convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor and is a registered sex offender.
The alleged victim described the abuse during a forensic interview at the Children's Advocacy Project on May 10.
That same day, the investigator interviewed Freeman. When confronted with the information that the girl, now six years old, had disclosed regarding sexual acts, Freeman reportedly shook his head up and down in an affirmative manner.
"I'm going back to prison for the rest of my life. I know that's a fact. I can see this happening right now," Freeman allegedly told the investigator. "I am never getting out of prison again, okay? I took the sex offender treatment this last time when I was in there so I could better myself when I get out. And I thought I was doing good. And I got back on the dope, you know?"
Freeman remains in custody on $100,000 cash-only bond.
