City Of Casper Takes Requests For Proposals For Plains Furniture Properties
The Casper City Council at its Aug. 14 work session approved that a request for proposals (RFP) be issued for four of the former Plains Furniture properties, including the former livery stable on Ash Street.
Interested individuals or developers will have five months from Friday to submit a proposal for all four of the properties or separate proposals for each specific property.
The economic development benefit of the project proposals to the City will be paramount.
Liz Becher, the city's community development director, said three of the properties are within the former Plains Furniture Building.
In December, Casper City Council approved the sale of the 10,500-square-foot former K-Larks Gymnastics studio to the 1890 Screen and Stitch company for $300,500. That property was appraised at $300,000.
The Council also approved the sale of the former 13,500-square-foot Milo's Toyota Body Shop property for $220,000. That property was appraised at $217,000,
The request for proposals document does not list appraised values for the four properties for sale.
Please return all proposals to the City Manager’s Office, 200 N. David St., by Feb. 14.
The request for proposal form is posted on the City’s website, or available by calling the Community Development Department at 307-235-8241.
