Casper’s Jerayah Davis Competes at US Track Championships

Former Kelly Walsh track star and University of Wyoming athlete Jerayah Davis competed in the USA Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday. She was in the 100-meter dash and finished 21st out of 27 runners with a time of 11.71. The top 3 in each heat with the next 4 best times advanced to the next round and Davis was 2 tenths of a second away from advancing. She was competing under the banner of the Seattle Speed Track Club and was making her first appearance at nationals. Davis was the Mountain West Conference champion in the 100-meter dash and was an 11 state champion in high school at KW, Davis was a 4-time state champion in the 100 and 200-meter dashes.
