Casper Plows Make Headway Through Night, City Offices Open Thursday
Plows made headway cleaning up after the winter storm, as Casper Streets Division crews worked the night. The arterial and collector streets have been plowed and are passable, and the streets designated as school routes have all been plowed as well, according to a release. City of Casper’s Streets Manager Shad Rodgers said most residential streets that are not plowed are packed and mostly passable.
On Thursday, March 14th, the Streets crews will be working in neighborhoods that have received higher amounts of snow such as Valley Hills, Wolf Creek, Sunrise and Goodstein. If you find a street to be impassable, residents are encouraged to call the Streets Division at 235-8283 to report it.
City offices will be open Thursday, and City Manager Carter Napier encourages residents to use caution when driving as the streets are still icy and snow packed in spots.
The Solid Waste Division will be collecting the garbage from Wednesday’s residential and commercial routes that weren’t picked up Wednesday due to the storm. Officials said other routes will also be delayed by one day; Thursday trash routes will be picked up on Friday and Friday’s will be collected on Saturday.
