The 55th annual Oil Bowl was in Casper on Friday night with 4-2 Natrona hosting 1-5 Kelly Walsh.  After a scoreless first quarter, Natrona exploded for 17 points in the 2nd quarter. Mustang quarterback Harrison Taubert ran it in from 9 yards out to make it 7-9 and then Taubert added a 3 yard run for a touchdown to increase the lead to 14. Ben Hoppens added a 30-yard field goal to end the half to it was 17-0 Natrona at the intermission.

After a scoreless 3rd quarter Dante Wallace of NC hopped into the end zone from 5 yards out for the touchdown and Hoppens added his 2nd field goal of the game to make it 27-0. Natrona had a sharp defensive performance and NC as a whole took advantage of some Kelly Walsh miscues.  Natrona wins the Oil Bowl for the 3rd year in a row, downing Kelly Walsh 27-0. NC will hit the road this week for Cheyenne Central. KW has a very difficult encounter coming up on Friday with a road game at top-ranked Thunder Basin.
