CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Rock legend and conservative activist Ted Nugent is scheduled to speak at an upcoming tea party event in northern Wyoming.

Robert DiLorenzo is a founder of the Big Horn Basin TEA Party. He says Nugent has agreed to speak at the group's annual picnic Aug. 2.

The event will take place at DiLorenzo's ranch in Emblem. The Casper Star-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1i1obtY ) last year's picnic drew 400 people, including several Republican politicians.

Nugent is known for hits such as "Stranglehold," ''Cat Scratch Fever" and "Wango Tango." He's a gun enthusiast is outspoken about his conservative views.
