Wyoming Prison Guard Admits Having Sex With Inmate

RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming prison guard has agreed to plead guilty for a sexual relationship with an inmate.

Forty-eight-year-old Cindy George faces three years of probation and 10 years on the state sex offender registry under her plea agreement.

George was a corrections officer at the Wyoming Honor Farm when she allegedly had the affair with an unidentified male inmate. Under Wyoming law, such a relationship is second-degree sexual assault.

The inmate allegedly told investigators he had sex with George three times in a month and arranged to talk to George by phone.

George was fired from the corrections job a year ago.
