The man who worked as Sublette County planner for the past 11 years was found dead in a vehicle Monday afternoon.

At about 3:15 p.m., Sublette County EMS workers found Bart Myers slumped over in the driver's seat of a vehicle between Skyline Street and Pinedale East Road, according to a news release from the Sublette County Sheriff's Office.

Myers was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators do not suspect foul play in his death.

Myers was dressed in gym clothes when he was found. He had recently acquired a Wyoming sheep tag and was working out daily to get in shape for the hunt. The workout tracker on Myer's wrist at the time of his death reportedly showed he had gone 4.3 miles on Monday.

The sheriff's office says it seems as though Myers was headed home after his daily workout to change back into dress clothes, but "experienced some type of critical event."

The vehicle Myers was driving left the roadway and came to rest in a small pile of gravel.

A routine autopsy was set for Wednesday in Fort Collins, Colo.

In its statement, the sheriff's office extended its deepest condolences to Myers' family. Myers' wife reportedly said he loved his job and the people he worked with.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, at the Community Church at 113 South Maybell.

Sublette County asks the public to be patient in the wake of Myers' death, as he was the only employee of the planning and zoning department.
