A Casper man has been arrested for trying to assault one of his neighbors.

Thirty-five year old Stephen Koch is facing one charge of aggravated assault.

Police say on Thursday evening June 27th, Koch was in the process of moving, when he thought one of his neighbors was laughing at him and also thought the neighbor was sleeping with his wife.

That's when Koch went over and swung a metal baton at the victim.

The attack was blocked, but the victim suffered a broken hand as a result.

Several witnesses and Koch's wife say that Koch had been drinking prior to the incident, and he had a blood alcohol content of 0.16.

Koch is being held on $10,000 bond awaiting trial and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
