SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT UNTIL 4AM MDT TUE

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAYS A SLOW MOVING, MOISTURE LADEN LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BE DRIFTING EAST ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT.

SNOW, HEAVY AT TIMES, WILL ACCUMULATE OVER PORTIONS OF NATRONA COUNTY OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, WITH THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED OVER THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY.

SOME OF THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED BETWEEN POWDER RIVER, WEST TO HIGHLAND AND THE FREMONT COUNTY LINE WHERE UP TO 4 INCHES OF SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED IN SOME OF THESE AREAS UNDERNEATH THE HEAVIER SNOW BANDS.

THE SNOWFALL SHOULD DIMINISH BEFORE SUNRISE TUESDAY MORNING.

EXPECTED ROAD SURFACES TO BECOME SLICK AND SNOW COVERED UNDER THESE HEAVIER SNOWBANDS INCLUDING, HIGHWAY 26 FROM POWDER RIVER WEST TO THE FREMONT COUNTY LINE.
