LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Albany County Sheriff Dave O'Malley says he asked the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation to conduct an investigation into the Albany County Attorney's Office.

O'Malley said Monday he cannot discuss any further details of the matter.

O'Malley says documents related to the investigation will be available once a search warrant is filed in Goshen County.

DCI deputy director Kebin Haller tells the Laramie Boomerang (http://tinyurl.com/o8jpz7t ) it's unlikely that the investigation will affect the outcome of any past or current prosecutions carried out by the Albany County Attorney's Office.

Albany County Prosecuting Attorney Richard Bohling did not return a phone call Monday seeking comment.

A Republican, Bohling was first elected to the office in 2002.

He announced April 19 that he would not seek re-election this November.
