Authorities are searching for prominent lawyer Charles Kepler, 89, who’s been missing since Sunday.

Law partner Bill Simpson said “Kep” was last seen about mid-day July 1 when he was with family members. He was missed Monday when he did not show up for breakfast with his wife Ursula at the Hospice House.

An Amber Alert has been issued for him. He’s 5-foot, 5-inches, 125 lbs., has receding grey hair and usually wears glasses.

He drives a dark-color Chevrolet Equinox (small SUV) with Wyoming license plates 11-1213. It has a Webster dealer sticker on the back.

For more than four decades Kepler has been a leading force at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and Paul Stock Foundation. He’s also been a major influence at the University of Wyoming and Northwest College.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cody Police Department, 307-527-8700, or Simpson Kepler law firm, 307-527-7891.
