Poplar Street Closure in Casper Set For Monday

The two-week closure of a major Casper artery is fast approaching. Casper city officials say WYDOT will close Poplar between Interstate 25 and 1st Street for 10 business days, starting Monday, July 23rd.

The closure is part of resurfacing work on Poplar that has been going on for several months. 1st Street will be open, but Casper officials are anticipating increased traffic on Center Street from I-25.

Downtown businesses can expect heavier-than-normal traffic during the closure, including increased truck traffic.
