Two segments of highway in northern Wyoming were closed Tuesday morning as heavy rains saturated the ground and caused landslides or rock falls.

U.S. 14 was closed from Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area to Elk View, while U.S. 14A was closed between Bear Lodge and the Sheridan/Big Horn County line.

Both highways were closed as of 10:55 a.m. with no estimated reopening time.

Meanwhile, U.S. 14 between Elk View and Dayton School was reported to be wet and slick in spots with rain, fog and reduced visibility in some areas. Between Steamboat Rock and Dayton School, a falling rock advisory was in effect.

WYDOT reminds drivers that parking on closed roadways is prohibited and delays crews as they work to reopen the road.
