The Natrona County School District is notifying the public of a reported suspicious person who followed a child walking to the bus stop.

The district received the report at roughly 8 a.m. Thursday. The bus stop in question is located in the area of Mathew Campfield Park in North Casper.

The suspicious person is described as an adult male. The district said they did not have any specific identifying details about the person.

The student immediately went home and notified their parent, who called the Casper Police Department and school district.

District spokeswoman Tanya Southerland said police will have an increased presence in the area after school Thursday.

"As always we ask you to remain diligent and keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior or individuals. Please visit with your children about what they should do if they see or encounter a suspicious person or activity," Southerland said.

"Please contact local law enforcement with reports of any suspicious activity," Southerland added.
