Muddy Mountain Road Set To Close

Muddy Mountain Road will close for the winter on Monday, December 9th. According to the Bureau of Land Management, mud and snow makes the road unsafe in the winter for vehicular traffic.

The road is the primary access route to the Muddy Mountain Environmental Education Area, two campgrounds and several trails.

It’s closed annually for the winter and will reopen around June 1st, 2014.
