A Casper teen has changed his plea in connection with a shooting incident, that left another teen dead.

17-year old Mathew Campbell has pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated burglary and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

According to a Casper police affidavit, back in late July, Campbell and his friend 16-year old Kraig Brusaw stole a gun from a vehicle.

Later while showing off the gun to some other teenagers, Campbell pulled the trigger on the gun and ended up shooting Brusaw in the head, who eventually died from the incident.

As part of plea agreement, prosecutors will seek no more than 15 years of prison time on the involuntary manslaughter and aggravated burglary charges, and no more than 1 year on the unauthorized use of a vehicle charge.

Each of those sentences would run concurrent.

Campbell will be officially sentenced at a later date.
