A Casper man is accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend and a friend of hers with a knife.

Twenty-year old Lonnie Parham is facing two counts of aggravated assault.

Police say they were called to the 1000 block of Saint Mary Street on Monday, April 1st, where witnesses say Parham was making the threats and could see a knife in his hand.

His girlfriend recently ended a two-year relationship with him, and claimed he had been physically abusive towards her at times.

Both Parham and his ex-girlfriend were on probation for an unrelated matter, and the woman was advised to move out of their house by probation and parole.

Parham told investigators that he was at his ex's place to get his clothes, when he had reason to believe that she was with another man.

He then became angry, grabbed a knife and said he was going to cut people.

Parham is being held on $10,000 bond awaiting trial and could face up to 10 years in prison on each charge if convicted.
