LCSD1: Immunization Deadline is Sept. 24

Laramie County School District 1 is reminding parents and guardians that the deadline for students to receive their required immunizations is Sept. 24.

According to Janet Farmer, the district’s head nurse, immunizations are required by state law​.  She says notification of this requirement begins as early as February during registration prior to the fall deadline.

LCSD1 says if a student is not in compliance with the law, exclusion from school will occur on Sept. 25.  The student's parent or guardian will be called to pick them up from school, take them for the required immunization and bring them back to school.

The district says vaccine is readily available at the Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department and healthcare providers in Cheyenne.
