University of Wyoming athlete and Kelly Walsh graduate Jerayah Davis was named the women's outstanding performer at the Mountain West Conference meet in Clovis, CA over the weekend. She scored 27 points for the Cowgirls in the meet with a win in the 100 meters with a time of 11.35. Davis also won the gold medal in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet 7 inches, edging teammate Ja'la Henderson by a half an inch. She turned in a 2nd place finish in the 200 meter dash with a clocking 23.57, which is the 3rd fastest time in this event in school history. Davis also ran in the 4 by 100 meter relay team that took 4th. Next up for the UW teams will be the NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento May 23-25. Davis was an 11 time state champion at Kelly Walsh including state championships in the 100 and the 200 in all 4 years of competition.
